Staff at the Dental Healthcare Centre in Teesside are celebrating following the dental centre’s success at the 2008 Dentistry Awards.
The Stockton site was crowned the best UK practice at the event held in Leicester last Friday. The dental centre was put in contention for the top accolade after judges voted it the best practice in the North-East region.
Mike Heads, practice principal at the Dental Healthcare Centre said the team was "over the moon" to be awarded the prestigious accolade.
He commented: "It is a fantastic honour to be judged the best practice in the UK. I really can’t say enough about the dedication and commitment of our whole team as they have worked so hard to provide our patients with the best possible facilities and treatment."
The awards come after last month’s success in the Private Dentistry Awards, where the Dental Healthcare Centre scooped another national trophy for being the practice that had made the most profound and dramatic changes in the last 12 months.
The Dentistry Awards ceremony is considered as one of the biggest events on the dental calendar. This year’s event, held at the Athena banqueting venue in Leicester, was hosted by Olympic gold medallist turned-television-personality Kris Akabusi and attracted over 500 members of Britain’s dental sector.
