Dental Students To Benefit From BDA Funding

Wed, 24 Sep 2008

The British Dental Association (BDA) has announced plans to offer final-year dental students an exclusive finance deal for the purchase of dental loupes.

The dental loupes, designed to help encourage healthy and effective working habits among newly-qualified dentists, are part of a special new membership benefit offer for students, which also includes free membership of the BDA for their final year of study .

The BDA said the scheme, supported by DP Medical Systems and Nuview Ltd, reflects their commitment to supporting students and young dentists at the beginning of their professional career.

"We value greatly our growing student membership, and we want to do all we can to help individual students as they begin their career," commented Peter Ward, Chief Executive of the BDA .

"Dental loupes are an important piece of equipment for dentists, providing magnification to make treatment easier and improving posture."

"We want to encourage young dentists into good working habits right from the start of their career, and we're delighted DP Medical Systems and Nuview Ltd are supporting this initiative," he added.

The new membership benefit will be launched at the Dental Showcase exhibition in October at a dedicated section on the BDA stand.

Details of the new finance deal are also available from the BDA website - bda.org/loupes.
