A Bermondsey dentist has been crowned as Londons Best Young Dentist .
Lydia Pink, who is part of the dental team at Tower Bridge Dental Surgery, was awarded the 'Best Young Dentist, London 2008' accolade at the annual Dentistry Awards event held last month in Leicester.
The award, presented by Olympic athlete and television-personality Kriss Akabusi, followed a seven month assessment of short-listed candidates across the UK.
The Greater London dentist was one of nine regional winners at the prestigious ceremony, which is held each year to recognise Britains outstanding young dental practitioners, teams and practices.
Lydia has taken her dental skills across the globe. In 2008 she travelled to Cambodia where she spent two weeks examining children's teeth . She is also personally sponsoring a child through school and plans to return to the country later this year.
