Former world boxing champion Chris Eubank is spending thousands of pounds on dental treatment to help cure his famous lisp.
The 42-year-old travelled to Ireland last week to have work carried out by world-renowned dentist Barry Buckley at Clane Hospital, Co Kildare.
Eubank told reporters: "I'm here to see the best dentist in Ireland and the UK. Before long nobody will be able to accuse me of having a lisp."
Mr Buckley explained that although the main purpose of the work was to improve the look of his teeth initial work had also improved the boxer's speech impediment .
He said: "Chris is having the full cosmetic makeover. We're getting rid of the gap between his front teeth, adding length to the teeth and widening his smile slightly."
"The main purpose of the work is to make his teeth look better. They are not a bad set of teeth but they are a little bit worse for wear because of his career."
"But it has already started to improve his lisp as his speech is altered."
He space between Eubank’s front two teeth is being reduced using porcelain veneers, which are being crafted at the Da Vinci Laboratory in Los Angeles by one of the world’s leading dental technicians, Daniel Materdomini.
The dental work being carried out on the dad-of-four will reportedly set him back around £30,000.
The former WBO middleweight and super-middleweight champion famously used his lisp in the 1999 Nescafe advert under the tag "Thimply the Betht".
