Hackney Residents Urged To Attend Dental Roadshow

Tue, 22 Feb 2011

People in the London Borough of Hackney are being invited to attend local events promoting free NHS dental services in the area.

Over the next two days, NHS City and Hackney will run a series of events to highlight the availability of local NHS dentists, promote the range of treatments available and explain NHS charges and exemptions.

Alice Benton, Deputy Director of Primary Care Commissioning at the PCT, said: "This is a great opportunity to come along and learn more about NHS dental services available in Hackney and the City. If you don’t already have a regular NHS dentist, we can help you find one that is suitable for you."

"We have good access to NHS dental services in Hackney and the City, but in the past some patients have found it difficult to find a dentist, to get an appointment or to get treated. This campaign helps address those concerns, plus other popular misconceptions about charges and exemptions."

A full list of NHS dentists working in Hackney and the City is available online at cityandhackney.nhs.uk. Alternatively, patients can call Find-a-Dentist on 020 7683 4645.
