More than 2,300 dental places have been made available in Cornwall through two NHS practices.
The Highfield Dental Practice in Camelford has announced it has capacity to take on over 2,000 new dental patients while the April Lodge Dental Practice in Bude has 300 extra NHS places available.
The news will come as a major boost for residents in need of dental care, especially those in the Bude and Camelford areas.
Lucy Craig, manager of the Oasis Dental Care surgeries in Bude and Camelford said that the new places will make a considerable difference to local people and ensure that they have access to NHS services without having to travel long distances or join lengthy waiting lists.
The two Cornwall surgeries are inviting people to contact them directly and register for a place, and hope that the introduction of new places will encourage patients to visit the dentist on a regular basis and keep an eye on their dental health .
